"We started our business in 2008 with one specific quest...to make a better garden hose. One that was american made, one that was slim and lightweight, one that would not permanently kink, one that would not leak or smell funny, one that did not leach nasty chemicals, one with fittings that would not crush, one that would remain soft and flexible in cold weather, one that would last for years and one that was beautiful to look at."
Let's reinvent the garden hose. Here is our story.
Step 1. We started with the resin. We needed a material unlike any other that would allow us to produce a sleek, long-lasting and beautiful looking garden hose. It had to be durable, have tremendous flexibility and be lightweight. It also had to be drinking water safe (free from lead, BPA and phthalates) and work in all-weather conditions. It had to be beautiful. We were in search of the perfect resin to make a world-class product. Our selection: american made polyurethane.
Step 2. We designed a manufacturing process and set out to buy the equipment to produce our dream hose. We made a list. We needed extruders, dryers, chillers, dehumidifiers, cooling troughs, pullers, wrappers, winders, lasers, counters, resin and pigments.
Step 3. We engineered specially designed brass hose fittings that would not crush, tarnish or leak.
Step 4. We designed tough, flexible hose ends to prevent hose kink at the faucet.
Step 5. We needed color. Beautiful Colors. Eggplant, Olive, Espresso and Cranberry. Maybe even a little bit of Robin's Egg Blue on occasion.
